"Wild room" habitat Interactives for Gibside National Trust

We installed two interactive zones within a building at Gibside. These relate to specific habitat areas within the estate and reflect the wildlife present. They allow visitors to investigate aspects of food chains and microhabitats, as well as adaptation. The visitor can touch fur belonging to the animals found here and find out about the biodiversity in the surrounding environments. The displays are also used for supporting learning activities. The display is robust and sturdy since the building is open to the elements as well as being visited by bats and birds throughout the seasons.
